“Station to Station.”

20160309_165322Wed, 9 March 2016, 4:53 pm: This segment of the “Cosmonauts” collection at the London Science Museum focused on daily routines in a space station.

20160309_171820The shower in the space station looks like a pain to climb in and out of. I bet those cosmonauts worked it out to only take showers once a week. “I’m not really what you’d call dirty; that’s just space dust.” “I’ve gotta go outside later to tighten the screws on that satellite dish. No sense getting all clean now.” I’d still rather use this one during a five year space station assignment than have to dress out and shower for middle school PE class even one more time.

They had me at “keyboard.”

20160309_164620Wed, 9 March 2016, 4:46 pm: Almost all of my favorite bands are largely synthesizer-driven, so when I spot a giant keyboard I snap to attention.

This one (in the “Cosmonauts” collection at the Science Museum in London) probably couldn’t play a single note of “Duchess” or “Red Skies,” but it rated a few geeky selfies just the same. Now, what does this key near the bottom left do? Oh, sh*t! I think I just popped a fuse in the Mir!
